After looking at the i4, the grille is a bit.. flamboyant? Others might say obnoxious ;) I'm not bothered by it. The iX on the other hand, it's like they took the i4 front end and stretched it like a tall pair of pants, it just looks BIZARRE!

This is not an attractive front-end:

The rear looks a bit confused too:

But clearly not as bad as the front.

The trunk space doesn't look any bigger (actually, it looks smaller) than the i4 because of the body panel "saddle bags" on the sides:

Body-line wise, it looks kind of like a lifted wagon from the rear:

The interior doesn't look too bad (the colour scheme on this particular one isn't my favourite):

But again, I think the i4 wins here too, being more attractive.

And then there's the price. This particular unit, an xDrive50, is $121,860, almost $40,000 more than an M-Sport equipped i4 M50!

It's odd, because the i4 seems like a really good swing and hit for BMW, but the iX is a swing and a miss IMHO, its styling is just, well, awful.

Nothing on it bothers me with the exception of the steering wheel shape unless its just a camera thing.

BMW design studio:
"No matter what i do, i get payed for it.. LA LA LA.....Just have to tell the bosses some marketing buzz words about design and target group and they nod and approve it... LA LA LA.... *Paints funny Car*"

I'm old school and a holdout from the Bangle era. Nothing they offer these days interests me. It's sad but seems to be the direction of all designers. I have even heard is said that these horrid designs are due to the desires of the Chinese market. Who knows?
