Hi again folks. If you havent guessed or noticed; I am a history buff/nut. Was wondering, what good, bad and ugly do you folks remember about the 1980's? I remember the space shuttle "challenger" disaster and learning a ton afterwards from the great theoretical physicist Richard Feynman and what he found out. Also, I remember the AIDS epidemic, and the SF 49'ers, Michael Jordan, the car styles, clothing styles, and even the VCR and cassettes. Anyone remember the bands "EUROPE"(I loved them

), and others. I also remember a lot of good happenings also. Thanks in advance for your stories and memories guys and gals

I was in high school 1983-87,good times!! Awesome new wave music (especially the obscure stuff). MTV actually played music. VH1 was pretty good too. Life was great!!

Back to the Future, Max Headroom, Miami Vice, Nissan dominates IMSA GTP, Danny Sullivan spins and wins Indy, Rush had a hit with "Tom Sawyer", the hottest factory Corvette of the '80's had 245 HP.

The Fall Guy, Hardcastle and McCormick, Magnum PI, World Class Championship Wrestling, National Wrestling Alliance/Mid Atlantic Wrestling/World Wide Wrestling (Jim Crockett Promotions), Transformers cartoon (first generation), GI Joe, The Cold War, Bob Barker before the grey hair, Made in the USA wasn't a rarity, Thriller, Billy Joel, Hall and Oates, Run DMC, Prince, all around good music to be honest, Sony Walkman, Boom Boxes, helping my dad work on anything and everything that had a carburetor on it, I used to see bees daily (don't really see bees much anymore), teachers used to bring TVs in the classroom for the ACC tournament, Pine State Ice Cream, Creamee Burger, WWF Ice Cream bars, game watches, The Wonder Years....the list goes on and on.

I turned 14 in 1980, so the '80s were "my" decade. I remember big hair, Gorbachev, the Gipper, Cyndi Lauper, the Boss, OMD, Indiana Jones, TESB, Aliens, Rambo, Die Hard, BTTF, the Brat Pack, Cuba Libre and Long Island Iced Tea, Nike trainers and Lacoste shirts, deck shoes, Breitling watches, Uno at every corner, arcade games like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong, Commodore (Amiga) and Apple home computers, mountain bikes, and many other things.
