Back on March 6, 2021 I started a thread asking for help choosing a vehicle for my nephew to go to colledge in upstate Ohio, away from his home in Pittsburgh PA.

After some searches and with your suggestions his parents found a 2013 RAV 4 AWD.

Attached is a photo from back then when his parents had that vehicle sitting in their driveway waiting for their son to return from a lumber store in their vehicle.

And also attached is his recent diploma. Now he has a B.S. in Accounting, passed his CPA exam, and has a Masters in Accounting.

Choosing a reliable AWD helped a lot. Thanks everyone who helped back them.

GREAT...and Congrats to him.
Urge him to write a treatise on the pitfalls and foolishness of buying a stupid car.
If he eschews negativity, make it a treatise on the wisdom of proper car maintenance.

PERSONAL:
Mrs. Kira is an accountant. Let's just say, that has saved my bacon.

Over the years , I worked with a few accounting MBAs that were also a CPA who made awful personal financial decisions. . I guess I had better expectations?

One of my relatives buys and sells vehicles, mostly used gaverment vehicles at auctions. Many years ago, he had a ratty looking Chevy Monza. He said that car was owned my a local professor of economics at a local colledge, and it is the most neglected and ran down, improperly maintained pos with no life left in it at all, vehicle that he ever bought.

I guess some think the best roi of buying and owning a vehicle over time, is to spend practicly nothing on it, and run it into the ground.

Thats one aproach to owning a viechle.
