I’m not on Facebook, twitter, X, “insta” or any other platform. BITOG is the only one.

I started back in 1998. I had a different handle, somehow something got messed up and got this one a couple of years later. But I’ve been here for almost 30 years.

Thank you for letting me check in with you all these years. I consider so many of you friends, though we’ve never met in person.

May you be deeply blessed. It means something to me to meet you here.

Domain was registered June 13, 2001. So there may be a bit of a Mandela Effect going on thinking it would be the late 1990's as it does feel like it has been around that long also.

24 years ago, 26 years ago, 28 years ago,…somewhere around there.

Any period longer than 20 years becomes a blur if you’re trying to recall exact dates. Those bringing up dates, let’s not go off and get lost in the weeds on such a wonderful post.

I was already an Amsoil dealer in 1998 and still not sure how Bob found me. I believe it was one of the Volvo forums. The odd part of my journey is not my remarkable number of posts but rather my quiet periods when I wasn’t even around to post.

If I remember correctly after sometime under the second owner (Tony)after Bob some kind of meltdown occurred and the website had to start over.

This version of the forum started in May 2002, but before Bob moved it into a forum format there was actually an earlier version on his website where we discussed oil that was formatted like one of those old newsgroups. I don’t know exactly when that version started but I found that version sometime in 2000 or 2001. So when he moved it over to using a forum type of setup I joined on the very first day. I was originally member number 5 or 6
