Whew!! After reading the first couple of sentences I thought this was going to be a magnum opus post or a goodbye cruel world, "This is your captain signing off" kind of thread.

Nah! Alive and well, though I did leap over a copperhead an hour ago in the woods. It’s amazing how quickly old feet move when you come up on one.

The original forum was not yet on Bobistheoilguy.com until 2001. Many of us have frequented the community since Bob Winters opened and hosted the forum on “theoildrop.server101.com” in autumn of 1999. The official site was registered as a domain June 13th 2001 and the site launched July 17th 2001.

Today 8/10/26 is my 6 year anniversary on BITOG. I honestly didn’t know if I’d be around here this long or not haha but I’m glad I have been. I lurked on the site too before it moved to Xenforo but I was always shy to join because of my age. I’m 24 now and I joined in 2020 when I was 18 which man I can’t believe that’s been 6 years ago it doesn’t feel like it at all.

I was 18 as well when I joined over 13 years ago, trying to find the best oil. Now I haven’t really looked in the PCMO forums in years.
