What standard testing method would one use to determine the coefficient of friction of (C.O.F.) of automatic transmission fluids?

Let me restate the question:

What standard testing method OR methods would one use to determine the coefficient of friction of (C.O.F.) of automatic transmission fluids?

Bump.

People have asked for testing methods to be discussed so where are they GaleHawkens?

For determining wet clutch behavior of the clutch-fluid combination, a number of tests can be done,

The SAE #2 Friction Test is one test method used used for determining COF.

Another is the JASO M348 (modified SAE #2 Friction Test) and the JASO M349 Low Velocity Friction Apparatus (LVFA) (Du/Dv) test.

Another is the CEC L-11-T-72 COF test using the DZK friction machine.

Since Faulken was the only brave soul to submit an answer, we award him with the coveted Piston Cup Lapel Pin.
