Getting a code P1186 inlet pressure sensor circuit on a 2006 Jeep Liberty diesel. The code returns instantly after deleting it. The connector is zip tied to the sensor so it would be obvious to assume the connector is bad but instead of throwing parts at it, I want to make sure. It's a 3 wire connector with ground, 5V, and signal.I assume all I can test for in the connector is ground and 5V. How do I test the sensor? Is there a resistance spec between the pins?

Check for 5v ref through the signal wire and ground circuit. If both return the full 5v the circuitry should be good. You can load test the wiring but you'd have to disconnect the pcm to do that.
Look the connector over carefully for spread pins. It should be replaced anyway since the retaining clip is broken.
