My local dealer has the BMW demo truck this weekend so I stopped by to check out some of the bikes. The weirdo I am I test rode the C400GT scooter first. Everyone was signing up for the GS 1250’s and S1000’s. I was quite impressed with the scooter. It had a very comfortable seat, plenty of power for a 350cc. We went on the highway for a bit and it had zero problems hitting 80mph and staying there. It comes with heated grips and seat, but your paying the BMW tax for it, with a MSRP of $9,300. The engine is made in China but it is assembled in Berlin.

And I thought Honda ADV150 was expensive at $4300... Wonder if Honda finally offers ADV350 in US and what will be its price... Although ADV150 isn't too shabby, as it is capable of 85MPH and owners report 90-100MPG.

I don't see 85mph from a 150 and topspeed.com reports the ADV150 top speed as 73, a more likely sounding number for a 150.

You are correct. Google lied to me. Looks like true ADV150 top speed is 70MPH stock, while upgraded ones hang in 72-78MPH zone, depending on upgrades.

although not popular in USA i think scooters are neato!! at the moment new inventory is low on any scooter + although BMW looks great + prolly runs good for its size you pay for the name as well as any service or parts!! 350 cc + or - is the sweet spot for local putting + short highway driving, + hoping things get better next year that i could find + test ride one, NOT BMW though!!

If one likes his or her MC,who cares what others think.......Some folks I ride with are on 50k$ trikes, and other wild stuff,,,me, as you all know Im on 96 Harley Sportster, yep 1200 cc, about a giganic 65HP, ancient carbed engine and saddle bags,,,for you all that need a bike that goes 135mph, I m not your style, but maybe 90 on somedays, but you will not live long in the mountains of East Tennessee doing that,,,,you all be safe out there...

With gas prices at $2/liter here in Canada, premium scooters like this are getting more attention lately.
I really wish there was more offerings in that segment.
Oh yea... I'm too poor for a new one, and from used options there are tons of Yamaha Majesty 400, couple Burgman 400, a handful of Burgman 650, and only 1 or 2 of the 650 being the Executive models. Kymco AK550 seems to be too new to hit the used market yet, and once they do - it will likely be 1-2 per year. So all this got me looking in the lower end of the Maxi Scoots, 200-300cc. Honda Reflex was great, loved it. Yamaha Morphous is so weird that I fell in love at first sight... I love oddball vehicles, and Morphous definitely fits the bill. Rear end gives me Cadillac vibes. Rare beast, but one or two do seem to pop up occasionally. Usually gone quick.
