There's only a few things stopping me from really wanting a model 3/Y.
1. Glass roof, i only like solid steel roofs, no sunroofs, no fixed glass please.
2. Lack of real buttons. I don't want to play with a dash mounted ipad pro while trying to drive.
3. Next generation in a 3-5 years will be so much better. At least i expect so, based on Elon's drive.
4. It's not a wagon. I know, they probably will never make a model 3 wagon, but if they did, i would jump at the purchase.

Dareo I agree. Especially that massive touch screen-only device that controlls 100% of functions, that is bound to break. What then?! I would love a used one but still far out of reach for me. Soon enough they will all be affordable, and outnumber the internal combustion engine.

Our Model 3 is a blast. The minimalist interior is flat out cool.

Pretty fair video. However, he speaks from an ICE standpoint. Clearly the Model 3 is not trying to be an internal combustion engine car. It is electric and much more.
I agree and disagree with the infotainment screen. Yes, just about everything is accessed through the screen. But he failed to mention the 2 dial knobs on the steering wheel. Music volume and other things can be accessed through the knobs. Like a smart phone, there is more than one way to do things. Plus, voice control commands are added with updates. Personally, after driving the Model 3, I find all the buttons on our GS350 and RX450h confusing. On screen is better.
These cars are not for everyone; they are different.
He mentioned charging. I would not own an EV is I could not charge at home. Of course Silicon Valley is a tech bubble. Charge at work at a subsidized or free rate. Chargers everywhere. Heck Tesla network is coming to Wally World!

TBT I got the car for my wife. She is very technical; extremely computer savvy. From cellular to notebooks to server farms. She took to the Tesla naturally, far better than I. And she is a natural teacher; a knowledge communicator. She shows and teaches the tech to everyone who is interested.

Say what you will but this car is the future. If you drive one, you will love it. Owners are rabid. Cult? Heck yeah; there is a reason for it.

All good.
