I am very tempted to try the Torco SR5 5w40 in my next change. It's an ester "racing" oil. 5w40 specs:
KV@100: 14.47
KV@40: 85.47
Pour: -40C
Flash: 211C
TBN: 5.2
VI: 177
HTHS: ?
It's got their proprietary MPZ formula which is a way of bonding the moly to the zinc and phosphorus. Not much UOA/VOA data available on this stuff though their reputation seems to be good. Priced about the same as my Motul 300V.
Torco claims it is used in all the Predator UAVs.
Can anyone comment?
