Techron causing rough idle and low power?

It was thick?
Man, I usually just try to stick to top tier gas and don't generally use additives, but occasionally have used Techron. But what came out of the bottles I had was only slightly "thicker" than water.

Wonder if the bottle OP used was not filled with Techron. Is it possible it was returned
to place of purchase with something other than Techron in the container?
Techron pours like gasoline.

That is just what I wondered. Something very similar happened to us. We caught that the bottle was tampered with and returned it right away.
Now a days, there is no shortage of people who pull all sorts of things. yeah, from op it almost sounded like oil he poured out of the bottle. So?
