Very neat, but I guess drones like the ones in the movie Oblivion are only a couple years away.

I fly RC planes. The tech that has come to market in terms of affordable 3 axis gyro stabilization is amazing. Add GPS into the flight controls and there is no limit. Add a central computer, or distributed computers and vehicle to vehicle communications, radar, and it gets crazy. I don't think average people realize how fast this technology is evolving and how cheap its becoming. I can't understand how we can have autonomous drones, but we can't automatically limit the speed of a train on a captive rail going into a curve.
