Hey guys,
I have a 1990 Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo automatic that I recently imported from Japan. I don't like the look of the ATF, 'nor the way the transmission behaves when cold (holding gears too long).
I am going to replace the fluid and do a cooler-line flush (if I can get the lines), then simply extracting what I can through the dipstick and then dropping the pan for the filter.
But I digress...
I want to know what people think about Walmart's "Tech 2000" brand of synthetic (synthetic blend) automatic transmission fluid.
I am going to be going through quite a bit of ATF if I do the cooler line flush, then extract and drop the pan. At $9-10 a bottle (CDN) for a litre of Mobil1 ATF, that's going to be expensive.
Can anyone tell me if the Tech 2000 synthetic ATF is decent stuff, or if I have to suck it up and drop big bucks on Mobil1 ATF...
Thanks!
