Hello and just like title says, I took the plunge last night. I dumped in some SM Mobil 1 0W40 into the Chevy truck(91' with 350). Put a wix on also. Drove it to work today and seemed to start up really well in our [censored] weather. I may honestly put a mix of the Mobil 1 SM 0W40 2qts along with 2 qts of some Mobil 1 SM 5w20 or some SN AFE 0W20 in the civic with a p1 or wix or some napa gold filters I have still in my stash.

thoughts, opinions, and am I crazy or what. love to hear OVERKILLS thoughts!

I think you should run the 0w-40 without anything else added to it that might dilute its magnificence

Nectar of the gods right? I'm a convert.
Anyways I like it in my hemi too but I thinned er down a bit. Using AFE might be perfect,or tgmo world be my first choice.

I will have to check and see what the local toyo place could do for me on a case of the TGMO everyone's raving about.

I loved Mobil 1 0w40 in our Prius. I had to change it due to suspected water contaimination, though. Still got a good run out of it at 7k, and still have some left over from last change special all thanks to our Prius' small sump capacity.

None of this blending makes any real since, unless you happen to have odd lots of oil left over. If you are determined to use Mobil 1 oils then just use Mobil 1 5w30.

Tig1, I have currently a ton of Mobil 1 0W40 in SM and SN and a bunch of SL, SM 5w20, and SN 5W20.
