on my 04 F150 what should i use? tag on diff says 75-140 and manual says something much different (i think 80-90) Is this because they added a tag after the vehicle was put in service? Is there a TSB for this? I tend to trust the tag more than the manual but I don't want to have to do this twice. Help????

Is the rear differential a traction lok diff? If so it uses 75W-140. I have a traction lok diff on my Sport Trac and that is the weight that I use.
I have the same truck and it has no issues (75k miles) with 75w-90 synthetic. Next time I change it I am going with 75w-140.
The tags were put on at the factory, assuming it was held on by one of the cover bolts.
Manuals are often inexact for every model. I'd trust the tag.
