So I want a side-zip tactical boot. Was trying to find a Bates GX8 locally, but the closest I found was a Magnum boot, and the toe box was too low.
Want:
1. Fit. Needs higher toe-box than the Magnum boot
2. Leather over the outside ankle bone. Bates GX8 has this, the Magnum boot did not.
3. Gore-tex. A different waterproofing is OK if it's as good.
4. 8" like the GX8 would do, but I'll take taller if I can get it.
5. Side zip must be enough to get the boot on and off without loosening/retying laces. For example it isn't obvious to me from the photos that the Original Swat Metro 9 WP will do this.
