tablet wireless connection

I bought a new tablet for the wife for Christmas today and am wondering about how to set up a wi-fi connection.
I have an Ewire 2701HG-G 4 wire wired/wireless modem for my desktop with a wired ethernet DSL connection.
I am hoping I can use this modem to run my tablet in a wireless mode and keep my desktop wired.
Can this be done, and how would I do it?
The modem has lights that glow green for ethernet, DSL, and internet, but the wireless light doesn't glow. I didn't think it would when I'm not using a wireless connection.
My provider is Bell, but I know AT&T and likely others use the same modem.

You probably need to get into the settings.

Try 192.168.1.1 and see if it gives you a page to login to the modem. From there you'll need to get the right info on login and making changes.

Yup. I would also call your ISP.I wouldn't be surprised if they charge extra for the wireless service on the modem to be activated- even if you already have the modem itself

The easiest thing to do is call 310-BELL. They will walk you through it for free.
