Synthetic Fork oil

Victory recommends changing the fork oil every 15k miles. As this is a rather expensive service, why not use syn. fork oil and double the miles between changes. Anyone else try this option? Seems like synthetic oil would be a perfect choice for this application. Please advise, thanks.

Fork oil servicing is a good idea. If you ever do a fork oil change..and the bike has some miles on it..you would be stunned at how much metal, debris and mud comes out of the forks. I don't think synthetic or regular oil would make much difference. Its the long "bearing surfaces" between the tubes and legs that create the need for a fluid change. I don't know why the Victory service would be expensive, unless it just high overhead costs.
