I have found excellent oil filters for cars and trucks: http://afepower.com/technology_detail.php?tech_id=12

According to their specifications, they have more then 2x better filtration efficiency then Amsoil EaO, Royal Purple, Wix XP, Napa Platinum, Purolator synthetic, Mobil-1 EP.

Compare:
5 microns: 68%
7 microns: 75% (AMSOIL EaO: 50%)
10 microns: 88% (Amsoil EaO: 75%)
12 microns: 90% (AMSOIL EaO: 80%)
15 microns: 95% (Amsoil EaO: 90%)
20 microns: 99.5% (Amsoil: 98.7%)

- Has anybody used Afe oil filters?
- Does anybody know about NF21 full-synthetic media?

According to filtering efficiency info sent to a member here, the non-synthetic PureOne does better at all those micron sizes except 5 microns.

Here's the info:

µm -- Effieceny -- Beta Ratio
-----------------------------
5 -- 51.3% -- 2.054
10 -- 92.8% -- 13.9
15 -- 99.20% -- 125
20 -- 99.9% -- 1000
25 -- 100% -- Infinity
30 -- 100% -- Infinity
40 -- 100% -- Infinity

As you can see, the PureOne takes out more than 50% of particles 5 microns. Not too shabby.

Strange. They have never been published. I wonder where they came from. If you find them again, please post a link to the source. Thanks.

Why not?

I am not sure. I have asked:

Paul,

These numbers are not available for public use for the EaO oil filters from AMSOIL.
