15.4 cSt @ 100C is fully in 40 weight territory. This supports the theory of repackaged xW-40.

Delvac: 15.6 | Delvac-1: 14.8 | Rotella T6: 15.7 | Rotella T5: 15.0

Rudolphna the MSDS posted in the PCMO forum is what I received. Miro did answer the mobil lab question and I posted that on Noria. I have been staying out of the discusssion if you want to call it that on both boards as much as possible.

Bruce check your PM's.

It has been quite a while since I've posted on this board, but in light of possibly getting some numbers and information on this stuff, I just might start hanging around once more.

Kudos to the member that sent Bruce some of this stuff to play with, and Molakule, can't wait for your take on it as well!!!

Do you mean "dosed" xw40? If so that makes sense to me. I wonder what they are dosing it with though.

Will the "insolubles" give an accurate indication of whether they are dumping PTFE in there? I saw some "Nulon" PTFE engine treatment for give-away prices in a clearance store the other day. I could see them dumping some of that Crud in there and calling it a product. That goop is nearly free.

Well now I'm told that the bottle I have is for "small" engine and is not same as "regular" synlube.

to late for testing now maybe a waste of time.

bottle says
Motor Oil Initial fill

Has pictures of lawn mowers and small electric generators and chain saws

SAE 5w50 API SM Isac GF-4

Vis in my lab is 15.4 so right of the bat label is wrong.

Judging from that junkyard photo posted elsewhere, maybe it uses ground up Yugo bits, or Yugo nano-particles? is that the so-called sacrificial iron?

Bruce, does it look like another brand's bottle? A picture I saw someplace else looked like it's in a gray-silver M1 type bottle with an amateurishly made label on it.

Oh YES, you can also use SynLube™ Lube-4-Life™ Motor Oil in small engines such as lawnmowers, generators, boat motors, etc.

And of course they will also not require ANY oil changes during their typical service life.

I got this off the Synlube Site, I checked the whole site and they do not mention a Small Engine Oil.

bruce381, it's the same product just sold in a half quart for half the price. I think the person that stepped out and spent his money to buy this oil should speak up and get his kudos for doing so. Hint, hint.

The MSDS Miro accusses me of doctoring?

Bruce, if it's not too much trouble and cost can you go ahead and run it through the mass spec GC machine?

Would be nice to compare it to the the upcoming T&N sample.

If the oil is really dark it is most likely the same stuff, just relabled.

I do not GC availble X ray only but I want to see the sulfated
ash on this I would bet it is way high and not at all SM.

CCS will also be a good look but now it looks like ther are a few "versions" of this.

regardless label says 5w50 and at first look is 15.4 (40wt)

Maybe starts with Mobil 5w50 and after adding in the Moly, Graphite and Teflon all (available in a dispered oil form)
the vis get lopwered makes sense to me.

Yes, his additive carrier oils may thin it a bit.

I suspect that Miro has his own NSA satellite(s) parked over Bruce and my houses as we speak.

I do not know about this spectro was run twice to verify.

Bottel has "small engines" pictures on it I'm told this is different than regular Synlube so I will not spend any more thime with this one.

bruce381, thanks for this info. As for as I know, what you tested is the exact same product that they call their initial fill for automotive applications. They just sell smaller quantities for the small engine market.

By looking at that, if that's a long drain/lifetime oil, I'm the president.

See I told you, ground up bits of Yugo! Seriously, is this just some used oil dosed with moly? Looks frightfully bad.

This is getting weirder and weirder......

We've seen UOA's on Synlube that showed decent, 'expected' additive amounnts....now this?

I honestly respect and appreciate your work Bruce, but something is 'not right' here.....
