I have to say that sounds like another ridiculous story. So it is not on a secret military base? So we can go visit this other location in another state? This is beyond ridiculous. The stories just become wilder and wilder to suit the needs of the moment. I am sorry but I don't believe a single word this guy says.

I could have sworn I read somewhere it was the same oil, just different packaging. Then again I don't care to or want to read through all this [censored] to find out. LOL As long as there is the slightest amount of doubt they'll always have an out.

Exactly, just like when they apparently said the foil seals used by Mobil 1 aren't good enough and they had to remove those and put their own seals on the bottles of Mobil Delvac 1 they were selling. Do they think people will actually believe that? There is a story for everything. How ignorant do they think people are?

"The Delvac 1 Jugs were originally sealed with thin foil below the cap, but we
found out that this causes leaks when UPS handles it, so we put in CAPLUGS to
prevent leaks.

Seems a few people on the other site are actually defending the stuff. I won't be pouring that poison in anything I own, but I do enjoy following these threads! Anyone in the market for a Bridge?

That is not entirely true. There is some issues with testing and validating the samples when you have solids as part of the formula. Repeatability is also a big issue.

In an email exchange with Miro yesterday he stated the Polaris sample was overall corrent but there are areas that did not test as they should. In the VOA the viscosity is to high, FE and copper should be higher, vanadium should also be present, fuel should not be present and soot is as expected do to the use of solids.

Miro's main issue with independent labs is from past experience and inconsistent data.

Maybe, but I'm not too inclined to take the word of the guy who accussed me of altering the MSDS he sent to you.

I don't know what to make of this UOA. Does it generate more questions than it answers? I think so...

BULL.

I agree. Even if the TBN IS correct, wear metals look absolutely horrible.
The Ca and the Mg is a special Ca and Mg. The wear metals aren't really wear metals they are the special add package that adds metal to the engine! so your engine is rebuilding itself as you drive. Go Synlube !!!

TAN is scary.

I'm starting to think this stuff is rebottled waste oil. There is never any consistency with this stuff.

I'm really curious how shorter runs would look on this stuff.

Run it 8-10k, like many do with syns, and see how it looks.....

I know, not cost-effective, but I'm just wondering if there is ANY interval that would produce good results from this product.

I wonder how this sample was taken.

Since Synlube is supposed to be run for life did they actually pull the drain plug and get a sample mid stream and then put the oil back in? Or did they do a draw thru the dip stick tube? Did they maybe pull the drain plug and take a quick sample which might have drawn in any metals that settled out into the pan?

The metals are bad.

Maybe they make it black in color so you can't tell sludge in the engine from the oil due to lack of detergent.
