Switching to redline shock proof

i was wondering if any one had the pour point and flash point for redline heavy shockproof and or lightweight shockproof.. also which one of these would be safer on my Front wheel drive nissan transmission which is originally rated @ 75w90 Gl-4

any help is great and also any one know where i could get some of this in the Connecticut area???

so is the light weight what id probably be using??

this is the fact i havent figured out yet..

from the pour point information it seems that shockproof is similar to MT-90 which i currently use.. with more chemical features of course..


i take this back.. it insist that the heavy is used for durability purposes.

Is the shockproof fluid OK to use in a street car? What is the difference between the shock proof and redline's regular gear oils, as far as the chemistry? If the shockproof is better, then why are they the same price?

Redline recommend the lightweight shockproof for hard driving or race conditions usually. If these don't apply then use the standard redline. The heavy shockproof are only for certain vehicles or extreme conditions. Vehicle Recommendations are on the redline website (at least the Aus site) or contact Redline. Stick with the oil grade for the vehicle unless a good reason to change it.

Redline charge the same for nearly all their oils. Maybe we are paying too much for some or too little for others?

Most gear oils can be used for street use, however, using the wrong oil may produce performance/ durability problems.
