switching to normal oil from synth.

well i noticed that with synthetic in the 4.6L ford engine right now, it comes out a lot cleaner after an oil change, but i have noticed that it blows a little more blue smoke than it used to before the synth.. many say its the valve seals in the engine, but would they be helped if i switched back to standard oil, like a thicker 20-50 oil or something. winter is hitting MI soon, what do u guys recomend...right now it runs mobil 1 syn 10 w30

The best thing I know of for reconditioning seals is AutoRX. You could switch back to any cheap dino for the course of the treatment, then go back to M1 and see what happens with the burning.
