After contacting the R&D Manager at Liqui-Moly back and forth, I'm switching from their MoS2 Oil Additive to Cera Tec next week with my oil change.

I will continue using their PAO based Synthoil High Tech 5W-40, which has a pretty good additive package. Only difference is, I will be using Cera Tec at every oil change (10,000 km/6,250 miles).

I realize the product is advertised as being effective for 50,000 km (31,250 miles) under normal conditions, and have been told it's 30,000 km (18,750 miles) for severe duty. But I have been advised it will be more effective if used at every oil change, as it plates the metal surfaces.

Considering my TBN drops from 9.6 to an average of 1.6 over the course of 10,000 km, thanks to the high sulfur gas, that will be my interval for Cera Tec.

Keep an eye on your spark plugs. My reading up on these additives leads me to believe they find their way into the combustion chamber and cause issues with the plugs. I also spoke with someone who actually produces and sells the raw material used in these ceramic additives and he echoed what I mentioned, which is why the product isn't used as much as MoS2, as an oil additive. Let us know how it works out. There is always discussion surrounding these additives, and as you know I'm a fan of MoS2, and always looking for something better. Thanks!

Ceramic additives was until recently, the best additives I had tried.
I also know several other people using ceramic additives, without any issues (also in regards to fouling spark plugs).

In 1000 miles I'll sent my current fill for UOA, will see what Ceratec has. I haven't notice difference between Ceratec and MoS2 judging by my butt dyno.

About Spark plugs, I had more red/pink tan before I used Ceratech (checked right after last OC, now it has less, checked 2 weeks ago, different gas, MMO/TWC3 in tank, before plenty of fuel system/injector/valve cleaners.)Now waiting on case of Octane booster(got cheap) will be mixed with left overs of 2 cylvce oil then MMO.

An OD of MMO can cause the porcelain section of the plugs to take on a pink cast, it's harmless as far as I can tell.

I said an OD can do that, I wasn't referring to your case in particular. With all the different products you ran anything could have happened. LOL OTOH mission accomplished for you, and a pink cast to plug porcelain is NOTHING to worry about.
