I was sitting around one day and started to think is their really any truth to old saying you cannot go from synthetic oil back to regular oil? I have always been told by mechanics that if you switch to synthetic oil and then switch back you will cause damage to the engine. I do not see how this is possible. Plenty of people buy new vehicles and switch from regular oil to synthetic oil. Then say four years later the vehicle is traded in or sold and ends up running on conventional oil again. So is this whole if you switch to synthetic stay with synthetic myth true or not?
Thanks,
Chris
