At how many kms i should switch back to Conventional ?
I will be running RP. I have 90000Km on Engine ...

Auto-RX website states that ... Synthetic makes seals to leaks.
So I wonder when car will be old enough that Conventional will be better for it ..

Concern yourself with extreme cold weather starting.
If the seals are not leaking then it is not an issue, but cold oil flow is.

Makes seals leak?? That's something I have NEVER experienced running synthetics.....since 2001!

It's more that the additional cleansing that Synthetic oils tend to do, that causes would-be leaks or very small leaks to become epic in nature in a very short period of time.

When I got my '87 GT, It switched it to Mobil 1. Within a month, the valve covers were absolutely POURING oil, and the rear main seal was leaking.

Now, the valve covers had a VERY small leak before that. I have no idea about the rear main. Engine had 240,000Km on it when I bought the car, had been well maintained, but these gaskets/seals were ORIGINAL 18 year old parts.

I replaced the valve cover gaskets, and did the rear main (which wasn't leaking a LOT, but would leave a drop or two when the car sat) and the car leaked no more. And hasn't since.

I am hardly unique with this example. With older cork gaskets, hard as a brick and sealed with sludge....You remove that sludge, things are going to leak.

I think most importantly don't *overfill* in switching from conventional to synthetic, particularly on an older car. I, last year, misread the oil level reading by a large margin somehow and ended up putting 0.5 qt too much Mobil 1 in my crankcase. Next day, the rear main started leaking. Once I had reduced the level and gone on to my next oil change, there were always a few drops in the vicinity of that seal.

Unrelated to my above comment, with a car that has 211,000 km, I find I burn a bit less when I run synthetic instead of conventional (not much less)
