I put new urethane sway bar bushings on my ZX2 today.
They were plain, and I have previously tried cutting grooves in other sway bar bushings for lubrication retention.
Plain bushings squeeze out lube pretty fast.
This time, I dimpled the interior with a Dremel tool and a small round tipped bit. Looks kinda like a golf ball inside, now.
So this is quick and easy, and almost foolproof. Clean it up after you go to town on it, then lube the interior and the bar liberally.
What grease? Hard to get special sway bar grease is best, or heavy marine grease. I used moly lithium waterproof grease. I was what I had that was close.
Some of you may want to try this dimpling to help eliminate the inevitable squeak from dry urethane bushings.
