SUV was running rough w/ CEL on

I was driving home sometime last week on 91 Nissan PAthfinder V6 with 173k miles when the check engine light came on and the truck started running like it was on 5 cylinder. After driving about 10 miles and CEL light came off and the truck started running fine again. That never happend before and hasn'[t happen again since..I check the ECU for code and it gave me a code for injector circuit open..does this mean the injector stayed open and flooded the engine with gas??? thanks for any help

Injector circuit open means that there is no electrical current passing through the injector. That resulted in an injector that could not spray fuel.

Hopefully this can be resolved buy unplugging connections off, cleaning them, and blowing them dry.

Also, connect an ohmmeter to the injector, and compare the resistance to the factory manual. If it doesn't match, buy a new injector.
