On the 5 quart bottle 10w30 Walmart Supertech synthetic
- states "meets or exceeds ACEA A3" (among other things)
Is this true? Anyone has info how they managed this claim?
Its HTHS must be > 3.5 to meet ACEA A3. Only a few 10w30 synthetics are that viscous - for example, Mobil 1 10w30
has HTHS 3.14 and cannot claim ACEA A3. Warren Performance
own Synthetic Mag 1 which is considered identical to Supertech (or visa versa, actually), has HTHS 3.12 and not
ACEA A3, eihter. What is up here?

The SuperTech Full Synthetic oils where I live no longer state anything regarding European specs, nor is it in the familiar "WPP" identified bottle - another couple of reasons why I believe WalMart has more than one supplier of its full synthetic brews. I'm still suspicious that one of those suppliers is SOPUS on the west coast.

Well, if it is SOPUS I would not worry much from what I have learned here. Should be a decent oil. I use it.
