Supertech ST3614 vs Fram PH3614.

So am I correct by thinking Champ and Fram are now under First Brands? I was just looking at the ST3614 and Fram PH3614 at Walmart. They look the same except Fram had a Silicone ABV. I'll use and cut one to see but thats going to be a while as I just changed my oil recently.

I will suggest an expensive Mobil 1 M1-102A or a Baldwin. Here is a link to the Baldwin if we match the number on the Fram box in the picture. Notice in the Balwin specs they offer two larger versions of the match to the Fram number.

They may look the same, but the SuperTech should be 99% at 20 microns, where the Fram Orange is only 95% at 20 microns.

We're both wrong. It is 99% at 30. Just checked the boxes of two different sizes in my garage.

Yes, there have been examples of Champ/Fram making the exact same filter, except ADBV, in the last few years for both Super Tech brand & Fram. You'll need to cut both open to confirm though.

I’m pretty sure just by the picture the Supertech has the off center adbv and is not covering some inlet holes. It looks like the edge of the adbv can be seen. The Fram is probably no good either, it looks to have the same defect. People would be wise to steer clear of these. Shouldn’t be on the market.
