The ST2 is a $3 fram extra guard with a nitrile ADBV and the MP2 ($5) is a champ labs filter and is noticeably shorter than the ST2.

both are serviceable for about half the OCI stated. Question the value proposition of the $5 MP2. No way I would run that 20K miles.

I was trying to find the 20K version for my cars--as stated, not for a 20K run--but I couldn't find it. Do their 20K filters all start with MP? That might be why I couldn't find that filter....

They do start with MP but dont seem to cover the whole line of filters yet. I've been looking for the 338A version for my GM vehicles but no luck. Did find the MP 3614 for my wife's Fusion and Kohler lawn mower engine though.

They do but I dont think they cover the entire line of filters yet. I've been watching for the 3387A version for my GM vehicles but no luck. Did find the 3614 for the wife's fusion and Kohler lawn mower engine though

Thanks, I was able to find it after I read your post. Hmm well i found it, but then the site said that it didn't fit my vehicles, although the ST3614 does. Go figure. For some reason, asking their site to check filter results for those that fit my vehicle, weeds out the MP, but not the ST, version. :(

It's the same exact filter just the MP is built a little tougher. Not sure how they are rolling these out so maybe they havent updated the results. I wouldn't be afraid to run it on anything requiring a 3614

I bought that one for the Ford Fusion … looked great and felt stout compared to some … Fusion became Lexus IS300 … so put the filter in my mower shed for Briggs later on …
