I'm not familiar with the Chrysler 4.7. Is that a speed/density system or a MAF type?

If it's a SD system it will get VERY small gains from those mods. The most you will gain is noise. You have to be able to tune via fuel enrichment, etc., and I don't think Superchips gives you this.

Have you researched the Diablo Predator? It's far and away the best for other Chrysler platforms.

Im sorry steve, im not sure what a speed/density vs MAF system is.

I have checked out the Diablo Predator but its not available for the Dakota. It looks like they are mainly for the Hemis.

After looking father in to it (On superchips forum), I think Ill just skip the programmer. It seems alot of people have problems with it, like buying the programmer and having to wait months for glitches to be fixed. The $350 does not seem worth it to just have problems. Ive order the Airaid intake tube, and Im doing the exhaust so Ill see what that does. I just wish I could get a shift kit for my transmission.

Have you tried look into a SCT xcalibrator or getting your truck dyno tuned?

It looks like the SCT is only good on Dodge Dakota 4.7l up to 2003.
Ive never looked in to getting the truck dyno tuned. Would there be any benifits to this being the truck is mostly stock? And how expensive is it?
I think I found a transgo shift kit that is compatible with my trans. Im going to my local trans shop to see what they think of it, and how much it would cost to be professionally installed.
