I have heard some bad stories about Discount Tire. I needed tires on my 2000 Intrepid. On line Discount Tire had the cheapest out the door pricing. I usually go to Costco.
Kuhmo KR21. I was in there 27 minutes. The only way the experience could have been better was if they had given them to me.

I've had nothing but excellent service from them.

Those KR21s look like an excellent tire for the price, and will likely be my next tire purchase. Hopefully you can give us some feedback once you have some miles under them.

Same here, I love going to Discount Tire and I've never had an issue with them before. They even do free tire rotations, regardless of whether or not you bought your tires from them. Great place to do business, IMO.

I love Discount Tire! I usually order them online at DiscounTireDirect.com and have them shipped in, a bit better pricing and the labor can be negotiated...also, if there is no warehouse in your state, there is no sales tax, and right now they have free shipping.

I had excellent service from them in Florida.

Up here in buffalo, ny there is not a tire service like them to be found, its all scam artist shops that want 25 bucks to mount a tire, or hack shops like walmart who do terrible work.

I've had nothing but good experience with them either. I started going to them years ago when Costco wouldn't sell me a slightly different size from OEM for my truck.

AKA as America's Tire Company in parts of California, Oregon, and Washington.

They're great, they sold me Kumho ASX tires for $5 above Tire Rack's Kumho AST price because they couldn't find me a set of ASTs.

"If ever you're not satisfied with one of our tires, please feel free to bring it back"

I had mixed experiences with two of them in central Texas. One had very careful and conscientious technicians, but would never want to sell me the tires I wanted to buy (always trying to sell another brand which I'm sure they already had in stock). The other store had really low-pressure sales staff but absolute butchers doing the tech work.

I miss my local "mom and pop" tire shop that closed a couple of years ago. Always cost more, but always got great service and never upsold unnecessary work.

This is my first experience with Discount Tire (in Fremont, CA), and I was very happy with the service. I like the fact that you can set an appointment with them on the internet.

I had ordered 4 Falken Sincera SN-828 from discounttire.com, they took my car in, indicated it would be ready in 45 minutes. I returned in 45 minutes, and they didn't have my car ready - they said that they didn't have the Falken's in stock (though their computer indicated that they did). To make up for my inconvenience, they upgraded me to Kumho Solus KR21 - which costs almost 40% more, at the same price as Falken's.

The Kumho's feel like a very good tire (only 100 mi on this) - good noise and grip on dry/wet pavement. Haven't tried em in snow yet.

I have always used Costco in the past - but I have found their service very deficient when it comes to honoring road hazard (I have had Bridgestone Potenza's - 60K life tires - fail on me in 15 K miles, but those wore out so fast, and they only paid for 1/5th of the cost of new tire, as refund is based on the usable tread left on old tire - this is ridiculous). My car has no alignment problems, obviously the Potenza's sucked, but I find it crazy that Costco's basis for the refund is wear rather than mileage. I also don't like the fact that you have to leave your car for hours with them.

I am a America/Discount tire customer for life now.

I ordered Nitto 265-75 16 E rated tires and wheels from Discount Tire on a Monday morning at 9:00am. They were delivered on Thursday (4 days) shrink wrapped on a pallet, mounted balanced with all mounting hardware included.

I got tires and custom wheels for about $70.00 more than I would have paid for equivalent tires alone at Sams or Costco.

You won't hear me complain about Discount Tire.
