Superantispyware by far is the best free antispyware. Spybot is, as I like to say, USELESS these days.

SAS now has direct disk access technology to deal with modern malware.

Spybot is useless (I work in IT). Deleted it a long time ago. SAS is about the best and free. a-squared (free) from Germany also good, picked up an infection SAS missed last week.

Looks like significant changes....for the better. I will try it. Last version sucked IMHO.

A spectacularly dramatic reduction in real-time resource needs in V4, to say the least. From upwards of a 50 meg footprint down to under 500k, and MUCH less CPU usage.

SAS, if the free version doesn't actively block, why does it even bother booting up with windows?

Great scanner. Worthless blocking ability until you buy it.

I use a few. Spybot is no longer one of them. DL a-squared instead it's very good. Counterspy 2.5 is another good one
