Good day folks. Off my 2002 Dodge Dakota 2wd with 3.9 v-6 engine. Had this filter and Restore and Protect in. Oil still in service. Put an old Tough Guard TG 16 on.

Thanks for the c&p!

Not needed though. We know tgat Valvoline Restore and Protect works slowly and will not clogg your filter at 1,000.
The Valvoline R&D head said in the video of LSJR, something like - "Valvoline Restore and Protect is desigbed to works slowly and not overwhelm the oil filter. That is why we recommend at least 4 OCI."

Of course someone making 6 figures would say whatever Valvoline wants him to say. We aren’t all just lost sheep. Time shall tell what this “magical elixir” Will do or won’t. So far it’s been touted as the greatest thing since Zee09 was thought of. 🤣🤣🤣

I'm just not a huge fan of the cardboard ends. The positive is that it is more flexible to form to the ruffles.
The "cardboard" ends also have some "give" to help mitigate pleat tearing - and then there is the fact it is easier to glue media to the
"cardboard". Most folded media is a paper, cotton, polyester and glass fiber blend (bonded with resin) so why not the end caps? The perforated center tube provides the stability. Later, during recycling, the contents can be separated for incineration. I am really surprised most automotive oil filtration has not converted to cartridge loaders by now.

Thank you, Stude for the c&p
