hey guys here in NC at the local walmart the supertech filters look identical and even have the same size chart as the frams?? i thought they were made by champion labs???

The SuperTechs I've seen are the Champ Ecore design, notably the open nylon core and the dual base plate.

can you guys explain that a little better and maybe i can make a comparison.. i dont have pics, i didnt buy the filter lol.. it looked like a fram and the same size code as fram so went with purolator

But they are NOT Frams.
i thought i read where some supertechs were made by fram and others made by champion labs.. i could be wrong. thanks guys and yeah i buy ST's for my gf's car lol.. since i pay for oil changes she gets gtx and ST filters for her 05 corolla 4 banger

Just look at the sticky up top. ST is 100% made by Champion Labs.

Excellent choice! Of ALL the UOAs I've done with my 05 Corolla, GTX and ST filters was the best!
Even in the winter months.
Better than alot of other oils.

Champion Sparkplug markets a filter that is called Champion. They also sell a line of aircraft filters under that label.
That is, if you see a filter that has a LOGO that says CHAMPION ..it's NOT made by Champion Labs. It's made by Champion Sparkplug or Champion Aerospace.
The filters offered HERE are not made by Champion Labs. They are offered by the same people who make the spark plugs.

There's too many champions out there. I think I recently saw a 12-Pack of men's cotton crew socks at Costco labelled Champion.

no thank you for your uoa's! your uoa's is what made me switch her car to gtx with the ST filters.. plus its cheap!! lol you use the 5w30 correct??

I can understand why
I knew that some outfit made aircraft filters called Champion ..but never associated it with the spark plug. Then a couple of weeks ago, Filter Guy notices someone calling a "Champion" filter a Champion Labs filter ..blalblabla ..otherwise I'd be

Yep, my Corolla has only seen 5w30 oils. In sub zero to 115-120 degree stomps across the desert loaded with 5 people and 75-80 mph for hours.
