Same price as Castrol or Mobil 1 Extended Performance at AAP this month. AAP has Castrol Edge Gold or Mobil 1 Extended Performance, and the Mobil 1 filter, for $38.99. Considering Walmart charges $10 for the Mobil 1 filter, it comes out to the same price

The non-EP synthetics (Mobil 1, Edge, Valvoline) are a dollar less. Their house brand Fram synthetic (made by Amalie) is $30 with the filter.

And the AAP bundles let you buy individual quarts :D

Wasn’t Warren Industries sold a few months ago? If so, it appears the price increases coincides with the sale and change in business philosophy, maybe.
Possibly with the price of oil going up, the price of additives going up, the price of shipping going up, probably larger than usual cost of living increases, perhaps the economy of being a private blender is going in the toilet.

Could be, although the price of oil for some reason doesn’t effect motor oil too much. But yeah, it could be. Everyone is jumping on this thing. I guess the price of my hair has gone up, as the people cutting it now have increased the price. Their comment was, why not, everyone else is doing it? Can’t argue with that.

But as far as Super Tech goes, as far as I know - someone posted this a few weeks ago - that business that they’ve owned and run for 50 plus years is sold. And the company that bought has been known for shady practices in the past (no idea who they are or if that is true).

Very soon the feds will be raising interest rates to combat inflation. This will hit your stocks and home value. It’s a ying yang thing. But people that decided to raise their rates on everything won’t lower them. Then people will will shop around and stop going to them. Then they’ll complain how bad things are, when they’re a part of the problem. Need and greed.

can confirm was at Walmart yesterday because i broke the blender and had to buy a new one but i always swing by the oil section. Seeing how the regular Supertech Full Synthetic is 20 bucks and the Adv syn is 26 bucks like heck no. i remember it being under 18 bucks when it came out. I'm not paying 26 bucks for that.

I JUST bought some Super Tech 20W50 V-twin motorcycle oil earlier this week for $5.78/qt and you guys are correct, overnight it went up to $8.43.

Edit: Super Tech 10W40 moto/atv oil is now more expensive than Valvoline! When you look up 5W30, Super Tech 10K mile > Pennzoil's black label syn.
Super Tech is the new Amazon Basics. Still good oil, but not good, cheap, oil. What the heck are those guys doing?!?!
