^^^ Use Hylomar Blue as suggested above. It is oxygen sensor safe as clearly stated on the Valco Cincinnati webpage.

Sensor Safe Hylomar Blue
Thank you for that.
I have now seen that stated with certainty on the website you linked to.
It is reassuring.
Of the two products mentioned, Permatex is more available to me in Australia, but I will look into both more carefully.

Worrying about having to replace fouled spark plugs on the F&R bank of a transverse V6, AND the oxygen sensor is not "over the top".
Some accurate research in choosing a suitable product is wise, IMO.
I am sure most would agree.
Accurate research reveals that nobody offers a 100%, all caps, guarantee, which is what you were seeking.

I haven’t killed a single O2 sensor or spark plug. I am careful with the products I choose and where to use them.

But nothing in life is guaranteed the way you wanted it.

I, and others, did the research for the OP, and for you. Linked you the information.

Personally? The OP is looking for a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist. I’ve done lots of valve cover gaskets like that, no “glue” and no “sealant” is required. I wouldn’t add anything that isn’t needed just on basic principles.

Those gaskets work fine as they are. People get in trouble when they go adding stuff that isn’t needed, and end up causing leaks, instead of letting the gasket work as designed.

Some products are marketed as being "sensor safe".
Others are not.
I am not prepared to take the risk.
You have not helped me at all.
Others have.

No, what you have done is hijack the OP’s thread into one about your Mitsubishi.

I linked you a sensor safe product.

I did not suggest that you take a risk.

I do suggest that you install the gaskets as designed.

Please start your own thread if you want to talk about your car.
