Agree. It’s. The quantity that’s the driver I think.
I am not sure. I thought the qualifications for a garage door lube was a non grease lube, as grease collects dust and dirt. Here is possibly a better example.

It looks like ECS Tuning repackages the MB sunroof lubricant into a small container, just for the DIY'er. A little more expensive than the BMW sunroof lube, but still worth it, particularly if you have ever had to deal with a sunroof that has not been cared for.

 
Many greases will collect dirt and grime and make it worse.
Maybe so but it’s worked perfectly in these Mercedes cars for over 40 years now, so I think it’s fairly proven in their design at least.

Just ordered a small jar from ecstuning. I was referring to typical grease.
