Just curious. Does anybody know anything about or use Sunoco branded oils? Does anybody see them available anywhere in the U.S.? It doesn't seem like Sunoco pushes oil products much. I found one Web page of products that are for Canada here: Sunoco oils Canada

I think it's another "odd ball" type of oil just like havoline. Several years ago I wanted to get my hands on Havoline synthetic oil but was unable to find it anywhere. I ended up buying it from a Texaco service station. I think the Sunoco oil is probably the same. It's probably hard to find and not worth the effort of actually running it. If Sunoco wanted to be in the oil competition we would have seen many many types of oils from them in retail chains.

I see havoline on the shelves all the time. Sunoco Ive only seen at their stations.

I always find it odd when a company spends a fair bit of money developing products and then seems to do nothing to sell those products. Motor oil sales must be such a tiny drop in the bucket to Sunoco that it is off their corporate radar screen.

The stuff on that page is SL/GF-3, I think it may be a bit outdated. Up here, the Sunoco name is used by Suncor and I don't believe they market engine oil. They own several refineries and have recently purchaced Petro Canada, who does manufacture and market engine oil. I know my local Sunoco station caries Pennzoil, at least it did before it closed and is now being changed over to a PC.
