Sunday Breakfast

Better half gave an old lady a lift home from the shops in the rain the other day and was rewarded with a dozen back-yard grown eggs. The hens forage in the garden (snails, worm, bugs, leaves etc), get vegetable scraps and a grain supplement.

Make the most delightful poached eggs.

I love the smell of poached ovulation on seeded bread in the morning.

Not as many grains as I'd like (tried a different type on Friday). Last loaf was brilliant with home made cashew butter and local honey.

NOTHIN' quite as good as true free-range eggs! Forget yellow yolks, they're ORANGE!

We haven't in several years,,,but there's allways the added side benefit of eating all but the 1 necessary rooster!

This morning my wife made organic buckwheat pancakes with Jones sausage. Man was that good.

Shannow look out for Trunkey Creek pork product, double smoked bacon worth killing for. No antibiotics or hormones of course

Best I've come to is KR Castlemaine free range bacon.

It's pretty good, and has a Don's heritage.
