Sulfated Ash levels

Do you guys know how sulfated ash levels in modern SL/SM/GF-3/GF-4 oils compare to oil specifications of yesteryear, like SG/SH/GF-1/GF-2? How about sulfated ash levels of Amsoil before it went SM/GF-4? Specifically, did older oils have levels of say, 1.5%?

The sulfated ash varied between 0.7 and 1.7, with the majority being right around 1.0.
