2005 Forester with an automatic. First time brought to a dealer and their oil change/inspection said everything was great but transmission fluid was slightly low. They topped off. Recommended that the aftermarket transmission filter be replaced with the OEM filter the next time I choose to flush fluid. The master tech said the fluid was clean and had life left he just highly recommends genuine oil and transmission filters due to the way they're made. Oil I know has to do with bypass pressure, but what's up with transmission filters for Subarus? They're special, too? Tech said it has to do with flow.
