Subaru oil filter - cardboard endcaps!!!

Here are some pics. Notice the can says Subaru Canada, but it's stamped "Made in USA" (kinda hard to make out in pic #2. Do the US filters say Subaru America, but are stamped "Made in Canada"? The cardboard is torn up from me checking to make sure it was cardboard.

I have 18 of the black ones bc I knew they were being discontinued. I bought them here

They are 6 bucks + shipping. I got 15 including shipping for 100 bucks. The black ones are excellent filters.

Toyota owns Denso. Not all their filters have cardboard end caps.

That looks exactly like the Fram I cut last week. I'll be posting pics soon, but the cardboard, plastic valve, etc. Only difference I see is the Fram has the black paint to grip.
