Subaru Oil Filter, 5448 miles

Genuine Subaru Oil Filter, 5 months/5448 miles. The oil used was Havoline Lifelong 0W-20. HPL EC30 was used for the last 2800 miles of this interval. Although this is an oil burner, I was not surprised by the lack of debris since the vehicle has a good oil change history. I refilled with HPL 10W20 and a Wix oil filter.

The oil looks pretty dirty on this one and in your Honda thread too. Maybe the EC30 did some cleaning that suspended in the oil.

I thought about it, but the media “assembly” was in perfect condition. I have posted some pictures of one before.

Genuine Subaru AA15A, 3763 miles

Filter was in use for 4 months and 3763 miles in a 2014 Forester 2.5. Oil was Havoline Lifelong 0W20. All of the filter’s internals appeared to be in good condition.
