Is there any reason that I shouldn't use Subaru Long Life Coolant in a 2004 Honda Element 2.4L? I just need to top off a friend's Honda and instead of buying an entire bottle of Honda coolant I'd like to just finish off this Subaru coolant. The bottle still has about 1/4 left and after mixing with water it should easily take care of the top-off.

that particular subi coolant is the 30,000mi coolant and I believe the honda coolant is good for 120,000..they are different

It depends if the coolant for the Honda is extended life type II or not. You could still top up the Honda with this coolant, but you would be shortening the service life if you get more than 5-10% diluted.
