Hi to all,
I am a new member and I recently purchased a used but in excellent condition sti my 2004. It's lightly modified with intake full decaf exhaust and ecu remap ecutek. It outputs app, 350 hp . I live in Greece where our Climate is rather hot e.g. 5 Celsius minimum at winter and and very hot e.g. 30-45 Celsius at summer. Subaru suggests
5w30 oil full synthetic (not suitable for me I think) and
10w40 oil full synthetic which I currently use.
The previous owner used shell ultra racing 10w 60 and he told me that it was the best as oil pressure was ok e.g. 6 psi and also during summer got days this oil was the proper for many reasons.
I've read your thread about Subaru Impreza sti but I haven't figured out. Do you think I could safely use 10w 60 for my car? And if so, how often should I change it ?
PS I don't go to track I only use my car as a daily car and I race it only at highways sometimes
Thanx for your patience, looking forward to your feedback
