Gentlemen:

Need some advice...just purchased a 2013 Subaru Impreza Sport Premium...2.0 liter with the CVT transmission. At the vehicles first oil change...would you recommend using the Subaru 0W20 Subaru "full" synthetic or the new Mazda 0W20 synthetic oil with moly?

Thanks!
Don

All the 0w20's are good. They better be for the price! Subaru is trying to squeeze out every ounce of fuel economy they can with the new FB series engines, thus the 0w20 recommendation. Congrats on the new ride. Subaru seems to be selling these like crazy. I really enjoy my 2012 Legacy w/ CVT.

Welcome to the new Impreza club. On our 2012. I have done two OCI's already. The first one was with Havoline Synthetic 0W-20, and the second fill is with Eneos 0W-20. Any 0W-20 will work in these cars.

Any would work. Out of your 2 choices, Mazda may be prefered for the Higher VI of 221 vs Subaru 197. Keep in mind that the GF-4 SM Subaru oil is the one with Moly in it. The Subaru SN does not conatin Moly.
