Center tube yes. I personally hate louvers. You never know if they will be coyote ugly or perfect.

I’ve been ordering these filters on eBay. For $11 each they don’t look bad.

I’ve been super paranoid going over 3000 miles on this engine. I have heard so much about bad things happening going longer than 3K (or so they claim) I will say around 2500 miles the oil goes from somewhat clear/translucent to almost black. I have been checking the oil once a week and taking pictures of the color of the oil along with the mileage on the oil to try and trend the color change.

When I changed this filter I sent a sample for analysis. I’ll get a good idea of how the oil held up and how bad my fuel dilution is. If it looks good I am going to try 5K next.
