This car does sound like fun, but I would love to see a turbo version, and I would love to see what a 300HP turbo version does to the people who restore a 240SX with an SR20DET.

And yet Subaru used to make many non-AWD vehicles.

I know that, but that was so long ago.

Apparently, this one isn't AWD because the engine has been shifted rearward and lower to aid F/R weight distribution and center of gravity. This position change made transferring power forward to the front wheels impossible.

On the plus side, the weight distribution is 53/47 F/R, with 18.7 inch-high center of gravity.

There are plenty of cars out there with more HP, and if someone wants a high-output AWD car, Subaru has made them for years. That to me is the whole point. This car offers something that almost no one else does, a light hard-top with potentially great handling at a reasonable price. There will always be cars out there that will beat this on strictly $$/HP ratio.

2,700 pound curb weight
Resale value

Its not always about straight line power. This car is going to be fun to toss around the track.

Wow, that's nearly 600lbs lighter than the Genesis Coupe! Very impressive, and I'll be looking for a used one a few years in the future.

I would've thought that it would be even better than that, like a 51/49 at least with the engine pushed that far back!

That must be one SUPER lightweight IRS in that thing.
